Saying Goodbye

I've known our friendship was over for awhile,
But that didn't make the conversation any less painful.
Saying goodbye isn't the hard part-
It's accepting that a person you care so much about is capable of consistently hurting you.

I'm not upset that it's over
I'm upset that it will never be the same again
